Domain Watch

What has been registered that looks like us?

Domain Watch observes registration activity, DNS behaviour and certificate transparency logs for names that imitate yours. Crucially, it reports whether a look-alike is currently live, parked or dormant — because an inactive registration and an active cloned checkout are entirely different problems.

Names registered to be mistaken for yours

What we observe

  • Domain registration records
  • DNS resolution and hosting behaviour
  • Certificate transparency logs
  • Content served at look-alike names

Typical findings

  • Character-substitution and homoglyph registrations
  • Added-keyword variants suggesting support or billing
  • Alternative-extension clones serving live content
  • Recently issued certificates for imitative names

Limits

Registration data is incomplete where privacy services are used, and a look-alike registration is not by itself evidence of intent.

Relevant when

You transact online, send transactional email, or your customers type your name into a browser.
